Melbourne Trade Show Delight!

We had so much fun sourcing some amazing and beautiful pieces for Island Collections. We were able to source a vintage suzani design that is just stunning. These intricate and heavy woven pieces can be used as a bedspread, throw or wall hanging. And just to get you thinking about where one could go in your home, I have found you a couple of images. The second image is taken in the lobby of the Parker Palm Springs Hotel... I love it!

We also sourced some gorgeous leather travel products and wait to you see our new bedding range..think white, turquoise, tropical birds and we are very excited about the most divine, intricate beaded sea creatures, hummingbirds and flamingos that will make a perfect gift for someone who has everything.

UPDATE-Many of customers will be excited to know that we will have our cute 'Turquoise Foo dogs' in store by the end of March! Hmm.. how many pairs are too many to have in a home?

MOJITO COCKTAIL

We finished our fabulous day at the trade show with a tropical Mojito at the Hilton, which is Faith's favourite summer cocktail...... and now Mine!

Recipe:

1.25 oz rum

12 mint leaves

1 Tbsp sugar

5 oz lime juice

2 oz soda

Summer Holidays are almost over!

I can't believe its almost time for the kids to go back to school. I love the school holidays as it a wonderful time to throw all routines out the window! A HUGE thank you to Evanthe for holding the fort while I have been away. We are off to the Reed Trade show in Melbourne tomorrow, we are very excited as its always great to order new pieces and expand our range. x Faith

An Outdoor Room to Inspire

I'm completely in love with this image and have finally tracked it down to put on our blog. I'm so excited to show it to you! I love the colours, the layout and the relaxed and casual feel it creates. It has a 60's sort of feel to it, particularly with the scalloped edged pink umbrella.
