How exciting is this........ Our friends came across an architectural book featuring some of my gorgeous hubby's talented carpentry work and on closer inspection found his craftsmanship had featured on the FRONT COVER!!! (I am so so proud). He worked on this house on the Mornington Peninsula for architect John Wardle. The idea behind the post was to depict the winegrower's practice of grafting new rootstock to existing rootstock. It was actually done with a chainsaw because the timbers were so large. The timber is Australian spotted gum, with the bottom timber oiled and the top left natural.

Our Island Collections showing

Last night we had our first showing of select pieces from our Island Collections range. The weather was just awful and we got completely drenched moving stock from the car to inside. We were so worried that the freezing temperatures and heavy rain would keep people away. But the customers came..hooray! We had a wonderful night and with bubbly in hand we showcased our Island Collections homewares and jewellery. Thankyou to all those gorgeous and dedicated people who came and thankyou to all those who joined our mailing list...a sale is coming soon! A special thankyou to steph, patricia(mum), nat and lou. Photos are of our setup taken from iphone, so not very clear, we forgot the camera!

Just in... our Latte and Red Stripe Throws

This is the latte striped throw casually draped over Faith's white washed timber chair.

Another weekend search on the Mornington Peninsula found this teal green /blue Louis chair. Now what of my many many cushions will suit. I'm trying our white paradise cushion from Island Collections at the moment!

Bonjour My Little Tea Towel Cushion

I'm converting this french tea towel into a cushion. I just adore the scene and colours. Maybe you could do something like this!
