A huge thank you to the people at Australian Country Collections for featuring us in their 'Life's a Beach' article on page 9. Featured are some of our unique coastal homewares from our living and shell categories. There are also some wonderful products to buy from around Australia to help you "re-create the laid back holiday feel in your home all year round".

An Outdoor Room to Inspire

I'm completely in love with this image and have finally tracked it down to put on our blog. I'm so excited to show it to you! I love the colours, the layout and the relaxed and casual feel it creates. It has a 60's sort of feel to it, particularly with the scalloped edged pink umbrella.

Happy Island New Year

Getting ready for tonight's celebration and of course I had to add a little 'island life' to the party!

Please take a look at this incredibly creative magazine. There is so many wonderful ideas and projects to do over summer. There are also many, many creative people with amazing talents in patchwork, applique and stitchery to read up on in this magazine. Take a look at page 24 on "how to make a mermaid", by Natalie Ross. It so cute and even I'm going to give this project a go over the holidays!!

Christmas has arrived!

Well I debated whether or not I should put up our Christmas tree.. as we are renting this house while we are building.. and sourcing my Christmas bits and pieces amongst the endless packed boxes initially felt very daunting! But today I thought I must make this house feel special at Christmas.. so over and under boxes I clambered.. and finally I located my ye olde faithful tree.... but that was all I could find! The rest is courtesy of a quick dash down to the local shops. I did however find my red rug! That's sort of Christmas like, isn't it?

Wait until you see Faith's Christmas tree, it looks soooo beautiful. Faith and the girls did an amazing job!
